TRIO TO DEPART THE CITY GROUND

Nottingham Forest can confirm that Felipe, Cheikhou Kouyaté and Wayne Hennessey will depart the club upon the expiration of their contracts this summer.

The trio, who joined the club in its first season back in the Premier League last term, have played instrumental roles on and off the pitch over the past two seasons.

Felipe, who joined Forest from Atlético Madrid in January 2023, played an integral part in helping The Reds secure their Premier League status in their first season back in the top-flight.

The 35-year-old produced a string of committed and impressive defensive displays in his 16 appearances towards the latter stages of last season, and will depart having played 25 times for the club.

Felipe also announced in March that he now plans to retire from professional football, bringing an end to an impressive playing career which saw him make over 420 appearances for club and country.

Kouyaté also departs having been an influential figure in the club’s two Premier League campaigns, making 36 appearances for Forest since his arrival in the summer of 2022.

Hennessey also departs having been an important figure within the goalkeeping department during the past couple of seasons.

The club can also confirm that Gio Reyna, Divock Origi, Nuno Tavares, Gonzalo Montiel and Rodrigo Ribeiro have reached the end of their loan spells on Trentside.

Nottingham Forest would like to thank each player for their contribution during their time at The City Ground, and wishes them well for the future
